Imagine. You are ready for your trip: you packed your clothes and everything you need but you have doubts.
Bringing your camera or not? That is the question.
The decision is very challenging, but I have some advice: if you want to live your best travel experience, forget the camera and all the photos you want to shoot!
Maybe now you are confused: I get it! But trust me: in this blog post, I will explain why you must leave your camera at home and how you can get beautiful pictures of your trip without shooting one.
3 reasons why you should leave your camera at home

I know: every smartphone now can shoot photos. But you can’t leave it at home if you are traveling around the World. My advice? Forget your smartphone in your bag or in your pockets: you don’t have to use it to take photos during your trip.
Why do you have to? For almost 3 reasons.
Details, details everywhere
Watching your smartphone and taking photos diverts your attention from where you are visiting. Do you know that we only remember the moments lived completely, with all our senses? So, why miss this opportunity? Why watch beautiful scenarios across a screen?
Live in the present, here and now.
No worries

“Don’t worry, be happy”: that’s a line written by the wise Bobby McFerrin. I want to dedicate it to you and your journey because I believe in this concept. On my solo trips, I forget everything to dive completely into the experience. It was always the best choice.
Shooting pictures takes a lot of time, but you can use it for something else, like exploring or trying local experiences. You can save minutes (and hours) without taking photos. Believe me: this approach will assure you the best travel experience ever made!
Live as a local, not as a tourist
As a travel designer and lover, I hate the “mass tourism” word. The tourist approach doesn’t include real local experiences and doesn’t immerse yourself in the territory.
Traveling is not only visiting and ticking a “to-do list”.
Exploring and diving into the local life is traveling. That’s why I prefer the “on-the-road” mode of traveling. My favorite on-the-road trip? Absolutely on Portugal.
I write about it in a blog post (but, unfortunately, in Italian)
How you can get beautiful pictures of your trip without shooting one
